the clients brief was to renovate the existing by adding on a new kitchen, guest lounge, guest bedroom and a new master bedroom.
the existing house, built in 1963 was deemed inadequate for the current family's size and needs.
the existing kitchen was extended to make room for a much larger kitchen. the new guest lounge, guest bedroom and master bedroom were all added on to the house by means of a seperate dwelling which connects to the existing house at two points. the new lounge shall afford the client the privacy he previously lacked when bringing visitors into the house, as the existing lounge is situated deep within the private realm of the house.
the new en-suite master bedroom now has ample space for the client, who used to have to share a bathroom with his sons.
various internal renovations are also to be done.

the style of the house was influenced mainly by the existing house, and we have tried to marry the old and new 'styles' with this contemporary design.
